Dave Feldman is a social entrepreneur, community builder and sustainability thought leader around issues that matter most to businesses and community leaders.  He brings his expertise in Collective Impact, supply chain management and systems thinking to the collaborative innovation work of Green America’s Center for Sustainability Solutions.   As Director, Dave oversees the strategic development its Innovation Networks, operations and staff.

Dave is co-founder and CEO of Livability Project (LP), a Maryland LLC founded in 2006.  LP has a framework and model to help communities design multi-stakeholder sustainability initiatives and empower businesses, community leaders and sustainability professionals to advance environmental, social and economic goals.

Dave is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking work as founding director of Bethesda Green, a nationally recognized ‘best practice’ community hub and green business incubator designed to promote sustainable living practices, build a green economy and reduce our collective impact in Bethesda and Montgomery County Maryland. 

Dave is an editor and contributor to the Entrepreneur and Innovation Exchange (EIX), a new non-profit organization that aspires to link research and practice in entrepreneurship and improve the performance and wellbeing of entrepreneurs.

From 2002-2005, Dave was Consul, Trade & Investment at the British Embassy and helped U.S. companies expand operations in the U.K. and U.K. companies export to the U.S. He managed a team of eight across multiple sectors and was directly responsible for a portfolio that included renewable energy and clean tech. Earlier in his career, Dave served as VP of Sales and Marketing for a wireless software company and Principal, co-founder of Global Growth Strategies, a team of international consultants providing strategic and market planning to the global IT industry.

Dave is an international speaker on subjects including sustainable communities, business incubation, green community hubs and leadership.   Dave is an editor and contributor to the Entrepreneur and Innovation Exchange, a non-profit organization that aspires to link research and practice in entrepreneurship. Dave was also co-founder and emcee of the Reel Water Film Festival.

In 2009, Dave was named one of “The 25 CEOs You Need to Know” by The Gazette of Politics and Business and as “Innovator of the Year” by The Daily Record.  In 2010, the Montgomery County Council named him one of the “40 Environmentalists in 40 Years”.

Dave holds an M.B.A. from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, sits on multiple boards and committees. He is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery and was on the Board of Sustainable Business Network of Washington from 2009.
